The Montgomery County Archives serves as the official repository for the records of the governement of Montgomery County Tennessee. The department operates under Tennessee State law and the direction of the Montgomery County Public Records Commission. Our primary services are the preservation of Montgomery County Records and providing access to the information within those records for research. We also collect and preserve personal, business, organizational, historical, and genealogical papers that document Montgomery County and its citizens as part of our manuscripts and special collections.
